Step-by-Step: Pre-Repair Process

Estimate

Step 1: Estimate

The first step in your vehicle’s repair process is to gather all of your relevant vehicle information and to access the damage visually. Once the visual inspection has been completed, the data will then be entered into a computer program, which will provide a preliminary cost estimate in the blink of an eye. If there happens to be any hidden damage that isn’t noticeable at first glance, a more accurate estimate will be available once the vehicle has been disassembled and additional damage has been discovered.

Approve for repair

Step 2: Approval

Once the preliminary estimate has been completed and it is determined that your vehicle is, indeed, repairable, we can proceed with your authorization and get in contact with your insurance carrier so they can cover the cost of your damages.

Schedule Appointment

Step 3: Schedule Repair Appointment

At this point, an agreement should have been made with your insurance carrier and it will be time to schedule a service appointment to have your vehicle repaired.

Order Parts

Step 4: Order Parts

Once an appointment has been scheduled, an initial parts order is placed, which is based on the preliminary estimate of damages.

Step-by-Step: In the Shop

Disasemble

Step 1: Disassembly

When your vehicle is brought to our body shop, it is time to disassemble it and further assess the damage. At this point, if there is any damage that went undiscovered during the initial estimate or there are any additional parts that are required to complete the repair, they will be added to the estimate and communicated with you and your insurance provider.

CarFax Report

Step 2: Structural Repair

More than half of all vehicles that have been involved in a collision display some extent of structural damage. If this is the case for your vehicle, it will be carefully measured against its manufacturer’s specified dimensions and returned to those precise specifications using OEM (original equipment manufacturer) approved parts.

Body Repair

Step 3: Body Repair

Once the structural damage has been repaired and your vehicle has been properly aligned, it is time to repair or fully replace the exterior body panels -- depending on the severity of the collision.

Paint Process

Step 4: Paint

At this point, your vehicle has been fully repaired and is ready to be prepped, primed, and painted!

Assemble

Step 5: Reassembly

When the paint has dried, your vehicle’s lights, moldings, trim, and any additional hardware that was removed during the disassembly will now be reassembled. This will be followed up by a test to ensure that your vehicle has been properly repaired and returned to its pre-accident condition.

Step-by-Step: Finishing Touches

Carwash and Detail

Step 1: Detailing

The final step in the repair process consists of a thorough cleaning including a hand-carwash and vacuuming. The paint will then be inspected and polished if needed and your vehicle will be as good as new, and ready for the Madison, WI area roads again!

Delivery Day

Step 2: Delivery Day!

There is nothing like a “showroom shine”, and that’s exactly what you’ll see the day you pick up your restored vehicle. And believe us, it’s as exciting for us as it is for you. In addition, you’ll receive a complete portfolio of documentation outlining exactly what was repaired, replaced, and restored on your vehicle. Best of all, you’ll be back in the seat of the vehicle you fell in love with, appreciate and all the memories that come with it.
