When Smart Motors purchased Ball Body Shop back in 2010, it had purchased a 20,000 square-foot body shop that was known for its impeccable service. After undergoing a recent remodel, however, the shop saw its size grow to 28,000 square feet -- approximately a 30 percent increase from the original 20,000 square foot. With this expansion, we have become the largest full retail body shop in the state, but that doesn’t mean we just increased the number of service bays -- we also added high-tech equipment to transform this body shop into a state-of-the-art facility. Whether it’s our alignment rack that can easily lift any vehicle, our 220-volt squeeze resistant spot welder that will tell the technician the precise spot to weld, or our full-service glass company known as NOVUS Glass Madison, Ball Auto Body Repair has the capability to remanufacture your wrecked vehicle back to its original condition.

We’ve been serving the Middleton, Madison, and Sun Prairie communities for over 50 years and are proud to employ technicians with decades of experience. With that being said, however, we don’t stray away when it comes to learning new techniques and strategies to make the car rebuilding experience even more efficient and affordable. In fact, in an effort to learn some of the tools of the trade-in terms of painting our vehicles, we sought out Hendricks Motorsports, a North Carolina-based team that's known for its abilities in building successful NASCAR race cars. With their help, the technicians at our auto body shop learned how to accelerate the painting process, which can now be completed in as little as 45 minutes. That includes painting the car, applying a clear coat, and baking it so it sets.

Within its large footprint, there are four paint booths, four prep stations, two frame racks, one alignment rack, and 16 individual body repair bays. With the technology Ball Body Shop possesses, cars are not out of commission for long, but even when they are being worked on, we do offer loaner vehicles upon availability, and for the duration of time your vehicle is being restored. 

These amenities and the state-of-the-art facility might make it sound exclusive, but Ball Body Shop works with over 17 major insurance providers to ensure it can quickly get that family car back on the road. Ball Body Shop repairs over 2500 vehicles per year, with the utmost levels of quality.
