The XLE and XSE see an all-new 10.5-inch touchscreen allowing for better visibility, easier control, and an overall smoother user experience. The larger screen is also available for LE and SE models. Toyota Audio Multimedia system with six-speakers is standard on all grades, with a nine-speaker JBL® Premium sound system with subwoofer and amplifier available for upgrade on XLE and XSE grades.

Designed like a crossover drives like a car. While more closely resembling an SUV, the 2026 Corolla Cross has handling that mimics a car. This sensation is largely due to its well-engineered chassis and available suspension options—such as the independent MacPherson-type front suspension found on select gas models and the sport-tuned suspension on the Hybrid grades.
The gas-powered Corolla Cross employs the Dynamic Force 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve engine. It uses Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission with intelligence and Shift Mode, allowing it to exert 169 horsepower. The gas model also offers a physical first gear, making for a captivating driving experience. For gas-powered All-Wheel Drive models, the Dynamic Torque Control system sends up to 50% power to the back wheels when needed, and completely disengages when it’s not, aiding the Corolla Cross’s fuel economy.

Design
This year’s Corolla Cross models show off new front fascia designs with a new front grille and bumper on the Hybrid, as well as a brand new grille on gas-powered options. The LE, SE, XLE, and XSE debut in Cavalry Blue, a new exterior color available to the Corolla Cross this year. Also sporting new wheel designs, the XLE is now available with 18-inch alloy wheels with a dark-gray metallic finish and machined accents. 18-inch aluminum alloy sport wheels in a glossy black finish become an option for the Hybrid XSE grade as well. These updates create a more modern look for the Corolla Cross, while continuing to align with the bold and rugged feel of the vehicle.
Inside, durable fabric-trimmed seating can be found, available in various colors. Exclusive to the XLE is SofTex®-trimmed seats, and SofTex-trim with Mixed Media can only be spotted in XSE grades. Also offered is power-adjustable seating, a power moonroof, and dual-zone automatic climate control, granting drivers the ability to enjoy their vehicle in a way personal to them.
A Cold Weather Package can be found in some models of the Corolla Cross, featuring a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Standard on the XLE All-Wheel Drive and Hybrid XSE, this package ensures drivers will feel comfortable even on the coldest of days.
