2026 Toyota Camry vs. 2025 Toyota Camry

Performance

The standard gas engine for 2024 is the aforementioned 203-hp, four-cylinder system with higher trims offering an available V6 engine with 301 horsepower, as well as a hybrid option. Perhaps the biggest change for the 2025 Camry is the elimination of a gas engine altogether and providing shoppers with two hybrid engines. The entry-level is a four-cylinder, Atkinson-cycle 2.5-liter with 184 horsepower, while the upgraded setup produces 225 horsepower. Incorporating the optional all-wheel drive system bumps that output up to 232 horsepower for those who want to maximize strength on the road.

Design

The overall silhouette of the Toyota Camry stays consistent with these two model years, though the 2025 offers some refreshed design elements. The grille opts for a wider shape with horizontal, stacked bars, completed by a twisting mesh pattern on the sides. Below the grille, the next-gen headlights transition to a hook-like LED bar, seamlessly combining form and function.

Madison area drivers can expect very similar fuel economy between the two models, as well:

  1. More powerful 4Cyl. engine: The Camry is available with a more powerful engine compared to the Accord's engine. The Camry's 2.5 Liter produces up to 206 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, while the Accord's 1.5 Tubro produces up to 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque.
  2. More responsive transmission: The Camry's 8-speed automatic transmission is known for its quick and smooth shifting, which can help provide a more engaging driving experience compared to the Accord less responsive CVT.
  3. All-wheel drive availability: The Camry is available with all-wheel drive, which can provide better traction and handling in slippery conditions compared to the Accord's front-wheel drive system.
